Transport Minister Ramalinga Reddy along with Koramangala Ward 151 Corporator M Chandrappa inaugurated the newly built Multi Purpose Hall, second floor at the 12th Main Park above Library on Sunday. Residents from various blocks of Koramangala, representatives of various RWAs in Koramangala, EE Srinivas Gowda, Contractor Adil and others were present.
Soon after the inauguration, the Corporator thanked the Minister and promised the residents to develop Koramangala into a model ward under the able leadership and guidance of Minister Ramalinga Reddy..
Speaking on the occasion, Nitin Seshadri, President of Koramangala 3rd Block Residents’ Welfare Association thanked the Minister as well as the Corporator for getting constructed the multi purpose hall. On behalf of the RWA, he asked the Minister to direct the BBMP authorities to maintain cleanliness near the 3rd Block leaf shredder unit area and the Mestripalya lake area where garabage dumping is still going on. Another request was to connect the drains to the lake so that at least this year the lake be filled up with water during the monsoon;
Third was the construction of the flyover from Ejipura to Madiwala/ Kendriya Sadan which is still pending; Fourth request was the shifting of the RTO from the BDA complex.
Replying to all, the Minister said that the Sony World Flyover is stuck with the Cabinet and assured to get it cleared soon. The Minister also said that he will speak to the RTO authorities and soon shift the RTO to the new building in HSR Layout.
Then some residents asked about the status of Beauty Spot park. The Minister replied that the matter is in court and once it is cleared work, on the Beauty Spot park will commence.
Thanking all the dignitaries, Vishwanath K said that the 3rd Block Park has been winning 1st prize consecutively for 5 times in a row during the Mysore Horticulture Society’s Lalbagh Flower Show.
