Team Arcis from Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering has designed and fabricated an aeromodel. The team participated in SAE Aero Design West 2016 competition in California, USA from April 22 to 24. The event was organized by SAE in collaboration with Lockheed Martin, Boeing, NASA, SolidWorks.
Among 11 Indian teams that participated in the competition, the team Arcis achieved 1st place in Regular Class nationally.
The team thanks the management of Dayananda Sagar Institutions, the DSCE Director and Principal for their enthusiastic support and for funding the project. The team also acknowledges Dr. A Arokkiaswamy (HOD, AE) and Srinivasan S (Asst. Prof, AE) for their valuable guidance. Team Captain Akshay Kumar says, “It was a very hectic, yet rewarding experience. The team has worked very hard for the past year in order to make this project fruitful. We thank the college management and our mentors for their support.”
