Samskruthi Ladies’ Association celebrated Kannada Rajyotsava on November 5 with a whole host of competitions.
The winners of the cookery sweet competition are:1st prize- Usha Shetty, 2nd prize-Parineetha and 3rd prize-Geetha Kundar. The winners of the Kannada folk solo singing competition were:1st prize-Anjali Venugopal and 2nd prize-Vijayalakshmi.The winners of the red and yellow coloured Rangoli competition were:1st prize-Chandana and 2nd prize-Vaishnavi.
On October 15, the Association organised two demonstrations, one by Kanta Suresh on quilling-where the members learnt the art of making beautiful jewellery and home decor pieces with paper. This was followed by a demo by Venkatakrishna of Pelican Organic Manure and Terrace Gardening,where members learnt how to convert their kitchen wet waste into manure.
