
Wednesday morning flavour was a walk around the Mestripalya lake in the biting cold and the rising sun for the Transport Minister and resident Ramalinga Reddy accompanied by BBMP offcials Executive Engineer Jagannath, Assistant Executive Engineer Pujar, Assistant Engineer Shivalingaiah, Mestripalya Lake Citizens Committee Coordinator Ajay Reddy, committee members, Adugodi Ward Corporator Murugesh Modaliyar and residents – Nitin Seshadri, Govardhan Reddy, Ashok Reddy, Rajendra Babu, Anil Chinniah, Vishwanath K, Ananthram and others.
It was their visit to the lake to review the progress of ongoing lake work.
Ramalinga Reddy, Bangalore in charge minister interacted with the Lake Citizen Committee members and inspected the progress of the rejuvenation work. The lake development work is expected to be completed in another two months.
Ajay Reddy, coordinator of the Citizens Committee, speaking to City Kemp said that the focus has shifted towards linking the storm water drains from 3rd block side to the lake inlet channels.
As this is not a part of the lake rejuvenation work BBMP will have to execute this work. The minister assured the committee members that work will begin soon and instructed the BBMP officials to start as early as possible so that the work can be completed before the rains arrive this year.
