The second instalment of the Cycle Day was held on July 9 in Koramangala 1st Block. It was a nice cool day; and by 7.30am one could see young cycling enthusiasts arriving with colourful helmets; accompanied by elder family members.
The first block streets had been converted into a game zone with all kinds of street games. At sharp 8am, the yoga instructor started her sessions. Residents of all age groups joined in and performed Yoga with her. Simultaeneously another set of volunteers started the slow race for children and adults. It was a challenge for them to ride without touching their feet on the ground. After several rounds an youngster from the block won.
The toddlers were not left behind. There was a tricycle race for them, even play scooters were allowed. The young children rode their tricycles with great joy, all the while chatting with their moves behind them. Ahana from 3rd Block conducted Zumba session. It was fun and set our hearts racing.
Kotak Mahindra Branch 2 Koramangala was the event sponsor. Their contributions was immense. They provided a big volunteer group and also took care of the arrangements.
Approximately 100 participants arrived for the Cycle Day. The last instalment of Koramangala First Block Cycle Day will be on August 13. It is invited all of you to participate and have fun.
