World Environment Day began in 1972 and it has been celebrated in more than100 countries on June 5 every year. It is celebrated with a theme and the theme of this year is “Connecting people to nature”. Being the most important day of United Nations it encourages awareness programmes across the world to protect our environment.
Keeping the theme “connecting people to nature” as our focus we, RJS PU College filed to involve the students to being awareness of the importance to recycle, save and preserve our nature. Students actively involved in making environmental captions for campaigning and also planted greenery in the campus with the cooperation and guidance of the General Secretary Muninagappa, Chairman of Sports and Cultural Committee Shamanna Reddy H C and The Principal Dr. Suresha M by taking the pledge.
Around 400 students along with faculty members involved in campaigning around Koramangala to enlighten the importance of our mother earth.
