The recently concluded ‘Make in India’ Hackathon, held at IIT, Bombay, brought a lot of interesting innovations to the fore. The event was held as part of the Make In India Week.
The teams worked together to solve problems across the categories of energy, water, and transportation.
Shashank Krishna from PES University and Microsoft Student Partner, Bengaluru; Abhishek D S, JNNCE & Microsoft Student Partner, Shimoga; Suhas Ramji, PESITM, Shimoga and Roshan S, JNNCE Shimoga; were shortlisted and participated in the Make in India Hackhaton from February 10-16 at IIT Bombay. This team was the only team from Karnataka. Their project won the most popular choice award under transportation category and was awarded at Make in India centre, Mumbai on February 16.
The application was designed to create a possible free path for the emergency vehicles using geo fencing technique.
