Bengalureans, get ready to feast on a galore of grapes and watermelon as the annual Hopcoms mela will be back from Feb 24.
The mela organised by the Horticultural Producers’ Cooperative Marketing and Processing Society (Hopcoms) will be inaugurated at Lalbagh on Feb 24.
Later it will extended at all the outlets of Hopcoms. Customers can avail themselves of a 10 per cent discount on both fruits at the mela. Varieties of grapes such as Thomson seedless, Sonaka, Krishna Sharad, Flame, Indian Black Globe, Red Globe, Bangalore Blue, Dilkush and more beckon customers at the mela. Alongside the grapes are watermelons of Namdhari and Kiran varieties.
The mela will go on at the Hopcoms outlets, till the season lasts.
You can buy these fruits in all the 280 outlets and 12 mobile vans.
Hopcoms aims to sell about 800 tonnes of grapes and 1000 tonnes of watermelon during the mela.
