Rama Navami celebrations

Once again the residents of Koramangala have a good opportunity of enjoying classical music by veteran musicians during the annual Rama Navami celebrations under the banner of Sri Rama Seva Mandali in association with Indian Heritage Academy.
This year, the residents can enjoy some good classical music for six days starting from April 5 at the Indian Heritage Academy hall in Koramangala 6th block.
The festivity begins on Wednesday, the April 5 with puja and abhisheka to lord Rama at 10 am. In the evening at 6.30pm there will be Vocal concert by Vidushi Meghana Moorthy. She will be accompanied by Vid Vaibhav Ramani on violin, Vid V R Chandrashekar on mridangam, Vid B R Ravi Kumar on ghatam.
The next day April 6 at 6.30pm there will be Vocal concertl by Vid Vinay Sharva S R. He will be accompanied by Vid B Raghuramon violin, Vid B C Manjunath on the Mridangam and Vidwan Bharadwaj R S on morsing.
On April 7, at 6.30pm there will be Hindustani Classical vocal and devotional songs recital by Vid H G Chaitra (Playback singer), Vid H S Gopinath on tabla will accompany.
On April 8 at 4.30 pm Hanumanthotsava; at 6.30 pm there will be vocal concert by Vid R Ashwathanarayanan. Vid Pappu Gyandev -violin, Vidwan H S Sudhindra -Mridangam, and Vid Phanindra Bhaskara – ghatam.
On April 9 at 9.30 am pm there will be Satyanarayana pooja. At 6.30 pm there will be Harikatha – Seetha Kalyana by Vidushi Rukmini Hande, AIR artiste.
The next day on April 10 at 6.30 pm there will be solo violin concert by Vid Pradesh Acharya, Vid Harsha Samaga M on mridangam, Vid B S Raghunandan on ghatam will accompany.
“For over three decades, the residents of Koramangala had the good fortune of enjoying classical music by veteran musicians, especially from South India, during the annual nine-day Rama Navami celebrations under the banner of Sri Rama Seva Mandali. All due to the relentless efforts of late V Anand who had passion for music and had devoted all his time to community service”, said Dinakar Rao, Secretary of Rama Seva Mandali.
