Free eye check up camp held

2The Residents Welfare Association, 4th Block, has arranged ‘Free Eye Check Up Camp” at Swabhimana Park, on March 26 in coordination with Devi Eye Hospital, Koramangala.
The camp was inaugurated by Dr. Balakrishna Shetty, Medical Director of the said hospital, in the presence of the president of the RWA and committee members. Speaking on the occasion, G M Shetty, President of the Association, said that the above hospital is a Super Speciality Eye Hospital, rendering the service for over 23 years and it has got a branch at HSR Layout. The Hospital got a ‘Namma Nethra’ team which arranges free Eye Check Up Camps for diabetic and Glaucoma patients. Further, he mentioned that the hospital has got a specialist team of Doctors and dedicated staff, with very good infrastructure. He also added that the consumer survey of 2016 has voted the Devi Eye Hospital as “the most trusted Eye Care Hospital” in Bangalore, and the said hospital is also accredited with the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Health Care Providers (NABH) by constituent Board of Quality Council of India.
The President has further said that the Eye is very precious and delicate which is to be checked at least once in 6 months. He added that the Association has arranged the camp for the 3rd time for the benefit of residents. The President has requested Dr. Shetty to offer discount to the patients of 4th Block, for which the Doctor has happily agreed. In all, about 102 residents have availed the benefit of free eye check up and free eye drops were given to the patients.
