In order to make policing more effective and help people reach the police station at the earliest, three new police stations were inaugurated in the city on Monday.
Home Minister Dr G Parameshwara along with Transport Minister Ramalinga Reddy, former Mayor Manjunatha Reddy inaugurated the Gurappanapalya Police Station. Jayanagar MLA Vijaykumar, Corporator Manjunath, Rizwan and others were present.
Later Dr G Parameshwara also opened Bandepalya and Begur police stations, all three coming under South-East division.
Speaking on the occasion Dr Parameshwara said that the police stations have been reorganised, to equally divide the work load and make them more accessible to people. He also said recruitment is being done regularly and there is no shortage of personnel in the city.
