Ethnic Weaves to keep handlooms alive

Samskruthi Ladies Association met on the 2nd of March at YWCA in Koramangala. Ms. Sowmya, “Ethnic Weaves” gave a talk on the different issues of handloom weaving. The steps taken by Ethnic Weaves to keep handlooms alive, support and encourage the weavers by minimizing the number of middle men to get the right price for their products. There was a sale cum exhibition of handloom textile.
There was also a Free Bone-Density test conducted by Prestine Clinic. Later there was a group Antakshari dividing the SLA members into two. Subsequently Group A won. Yet another interesting, informative and well attended meeting.
