Samskruthi turns 17 with Rainbow Colours

Samskruthi Ladies Association (SLA) celebrated 17th Annual Day on the 4th of February at the Indian Heritage Academy with Ms. Bhanumathi Mendon, International sports woman, as the chief guest. The hall looked grand and got filled in no time. Charming and tireless executive committee members welcomed the chief guest adorned their assigned seats on the Dias. President Radha Santhakumar gave a welcome speech, Secretary Vasumathi Srinath presented the Annual report, Jt. Sec. Malini Khandige introduced the chief guest that kept the members and guests awestruck, hearing Ms. Bhanumathi Mendon’s achievements!!
Honouring the prize winners, scholarship to 3 deserving PUC girls, Godrej almerah and Prestige Mixer set to Anganwadi and a token of appreciation to Mr. Santosh of IHA was followed by the chief guest’s inspirational talk!! Ms. Bhanumati said that she was thoroughly impressed by SLA for doing a great job. She stressed ” We must contribute back to the society from which we have gained as youngsters!!” Treasurer Kalpana Chandrakumar gave the vote of thanks.
The stage was set on fire by SLA members. Ms. Ponnu and Ms. Latha were the MC’s, who shot many riddles and games thorough the programme that earned chocolates to the audience. Krishna Leela I & II, 2 group dances by Kalarani and party, Sadhana and group, Group songs by Ms. Shyamala Krishnan and students, 2 skits bt Ms Swarnalatha & party, Ms. Tara Prabhu & Team, a pun song in the effects of Demonetization by Kavitha & Nethravathi and a national integration program directed by IPP Gayathri Madan. Annual programme ended with the happy note as National Anthem was sung by one and all!!
