Transport Minister Ramalinga Reddy along with BBMP (Storm Water Drain) Chief Engineer Ananthswamy and others officials visited the National Games Village housing complex in Koramangala on Tuesday to inspect the Koramangala Storm Water Drain.
Already the works for remodelling of the Koramangala Storm Water Drain have begun, but the civic authority officials felt that the SWD at several points is very narrow and has sharp curves before reaching the Bellandur Lake. Hence they wanted the Minister to visit the spot so that some property along the SWD belonging to the Karnataka Housing Board be asked for so that the narrow points/sharp bends be widened to at least to a stretch of 16 metres wide.
Inspecting the narrow spots, the Minister assured them that he would speak to the KHB authorities in this regard.
Ejipura Ward Corporator T Ramachandra, Koramangala Ward Corporator Chandrappa, Koramangala Ward Congress President Govardhan Reddy, Builders’ NGV Club President Vijayaraghava Reddy, Secretary Ravindra, Contractor Ravindra G M and others were present.
