Citizens of a quiet neighbourhood have told of their shock after waking up to discover their cars had been smashed up in a “mindless rampage”.
Residents in Koramangala 1st Block woke up on Saturday morning to discover 12 cars had smashed windscreens as well as damaged roofs, bonnet, mirrors and paintwork.
These 12 residents of 1st Block felt helpless as the damage caused to their cars on Friday night invited no intensification of police patrolling in the area.
Of the 12 cars that have been reported damaged, 6 cars are from 3rd Main Road, while the rest are from 2nd Main Road and 3rd cross Road.
In all cases barring one, wind screens have been smashed by using stones. However, the miscreants were not able to smash the wind screen of a BMW, instead have caused some damaged on the bonnet.
Soon the residents informed the police and Koramangala Police Inspector Ajay visited the spot on Saturday morning.
Police are trying to find out clues from CCTV footage located nearby.
