Dr. Kripa Amar Alva of Karnataka State Commission for Protection of Child Rights had a meeting on Saturday with S.Jaykumar the Director of the Department of State Education Research and Training (DSERT), Bengaluru regarding a new mission on bringing back the drop out students to the schools and mainly to attract the students towards government schools as they are closing due to various reasons like lack of infrastructure.
The project is a unique attempt, a team work , involving the students of BSW, MSW, B.Ed, D.Ed who do the field work around the state to work at the ground level. Which will map all the government schools and know their conditions and make a plan of action to make the mission a successful.
The Commission and with the cooperation of DSERT, Education department, Gram Panchayat, SDMC will start the plan at the earliest at all over Karnataka. For this new venture the Commission requires huge support from the print and visual media. This helps students of Karnataka to get enrolled and get a better education at the Government schools of Karnataka.
