A group of area – Koramangala-HSR Layout-Sarjapur Road-Bellandur- residents met the Union Minister for Environment and Forests Prakash Javdekar during his visit to Bengaluru on Monday 19th October.
Javdekar was in the city to chair a meeting to review lake rejuvenation efforts.
The meeting held at Wood Science Institute, was attended by senior officials of Government departments. Sham Bhatt, the Commissioner of BDA, Vijay Bhaskar, CEO of Lake Development Authority, Shivanna and Ramachandra Chairman KSPCB were present.
Residents from Koramangala and Bellandur made a brief presentation to the Minister on the mixed use development projects being implemented in Bellandur wetland area by Mantri and Salarpuria groups.
The Minister has assured residents that the needful will.be done in this regard. Bangalore Central MP PC Mohan who was also present and in whose constituency the project falls, strongly supported the residents demand.
