Patriotic fervour marked the spirit of the meeting on the 20th of August as the Association celebrated Independence Day.
The program started with members Swarnalatha and Sandhya Jagdeesh speaking about the significance of Independence Day, giving us a glimpse of some of our freedom fighters and their struggle to achieve it.
What followed next had all the members excited-a catwalk dressed in the colours of our national flag. The most innovatively dressed in tricolour were declared winners.
1st prize winner was- Navya, 2nd prize winner was-Swarnalatha and the 3rd prize winner was Seema.
This was followed by a group Anthakshri, where patriotic songs were sung with a lot of gusto and joy.
The meeting ended with the singing of the Vande Matharam and the National Anthem followed by tricolour snacks.
