Transport Minister and MLA BTM Layout Ramalinga Reddy has promised to support citizens groups in Koramangala who are opposing commercialization of residential areas.“
In a representation made to the Minister, Koramangala Infrastructure Task Force requested the Government to cancel the draft notification and not implement the same. Residents also pointed out the difficulties that they could face with commercial establishments and industries being permitted even on 30 ft roads.
In response the Minister readily agreed to send a copy of the representation note with a recommendation to take note of the plea and not notify the regulations to Bengaluru development Minister KJ George.
Once again the Minister has shown that the concerns of citizens of Koramangala will always get a sympathetic and proactive hearing with him.
Koramangalites file objections
As many as 1700 Koramangalites among tens of thousands of Bangalore residents filing objections on Saturday at the UDD office against the proposed Common Zoning Regulations (CZR).
A delegation of Koramangala residents joined many from all parts of Bengaluru at the UDD offices at MS Building to hand in objections to the Common Zoning Regulations (CZR).
