Minister opens e-toilet in 6th Block

On Saturday, Transport Minister Ramalinga Reddy, inaugurated the e-toilet on Club Road, 6th Block. A public toilet on the busy commercial road like Club Road has been a long pending request from residents and public alike. Koramangala 6th block Residents’ Welfare Association had been diligently following up with various officials and the Corporator, M Chandrappa for the speedy installation of a public toilet.
This toilet is available to hundreds of people who utilise the various commercial establishments on the road.  “This is a long overdue public amenity and we are very delighted to make this available to public”, said Jayaramu, President of 6th block RWA. He has also requested all citizens to ensure that the guidelines for the usage of the toilet be followed. The Koramangala Club has provided water and power facilities for the smooth functioning of the e-toilet.  6th Block is also getting another e-toilet on 80ft road near the petrol bunk. This will also be commissioned soon.
6th Block RWA would like to thank the Minister, Ramalinga Reddy, Corporator Chandrappa, Councillor Ashok Reddy and all the BBMP, BWSSB officials who worked towards installing this public utility.

Concerns raised by residents of 6th Block, Koramangala

When the Minister Ramalinga Reddy visited 6th block to inaugurate e-toilet, he also heard the various concerns raised by residents
They are: Various roads in 6th block are facing the problem of overflow from sewage drains; Footpath encroachments are causing problems for smooth flow of pedestrians; Some of the residents and commercial establishments have built ramps causing trouble to pedestrians and vehicles; Vehicles parked on footpath on 100ft road by commercial establishments is a major problem for pedestrians
Minister instructed the various officials to look into these issues. He said that the 80ft road sewage pipes are being replaced with larger diametre pipes in the coming weeks and this should address some of the sewage overflowing problems. The Club Road relaying will start very soon and some of the issues faced by residents will be resolved by this, he added.
