BBMP has called for tender.
The BBMP has already floated tenders for the 2.5-km-long flyover from Madiwala to Ejipura Junction along the Intermediate Ring Road (Sony World flyover).
It may be recalled that the Union Government had cancelled the Sony World flyover work which had even completed tendering process under the JNURRM scheme, soon after it came to power in 2014. Earlier to this, the BBMP under the previous BJP government rule too had put it in cold storage after announcing to build a flyover at Sony World junction.
The three grade separators are a steel flyover from JC Road to Hudson Circle, an overpass near Shivananda Circle on Hare Krishna Road and a flyover from Madiwala to Ejipura junction.
According to a BBMP official, “This is the first time we have floated tenders for the steel flyover from JC Road to Hudson Circle.
It will be a Rs 135-crore project. The flyover with girders will be completed in one and a half years from the date of commencement of the work.”
The BBMP has floated tenders for the second time for a 300-metre overpass at Shivananda Circle to be built at a cost of about Rs 35 crore.
