Minister for Bengaluru Development K J George conducted a review meeting of various projects with the officials of the Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) and accorded priority for developing 65 km Peripheral Ring Road around the City.
He also instructed the officials to prepare a detailed plan to handle the frothing problem at the Bellandur and Varthur lakes.
The minister advised senior officials to make the BDA more people-friendly and hold public interaction meetings on a regular basis.
Earlier, Minister George also met up with Kiran Mazumdar Shaw, Mohandas Pai and other representative of BPAC to brainstorm with them about infrastructure projects and resurrecting Brand Bengaluru.
BPAC said that the meeting has been very positive and the key issues of Bangalore – Mobility, Sanitation, Lakes, Rain Water Harvesting and Revenue Mobilisation were discussed.
