As the sexond phase of Koramangala 3rd Block RWA’s ‘Meet the Candidate’ initiative, the BJP candidate, Govindaraju for Koramangala Ward 151 met residents on Tuesday August 18th at 6.30 pm.
Govindaraju introduced himself as the son of an Agriculturist and a social worker and appealed for support.
He promised that if elected, he would appoint a person to coordinate with each block in Koramangala so that the issues of each block can be speedily addressed.
Residents asked the candidate to commit to the 3 point promise (which had earlier been put to the Congress candidate too).
lTo commit to a representative Ward Committee with representation from 3rd block. Representative from the block to be selected based on inputs from the RWA.
l Work priority to be in accordance with RWA priorities.
lTransparent process of displaying work orders tenders and other details to be followed.
Govindaraju promised to accept all the above 3 points.
Residents sharply questioned the candidate on his promises of providing a swimming pool and skating rink. Noting that residents were struggling to get drinking water they asked him to forget these items and focus on basic issues.
The candidate was also asked about whether if elected he would work with a Congress Government MLA and Minister. Govindaraju said he would do so with the support of residents.
