CM inaugurates Waste Processing Unit in Koramangala

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah along with Minister Ramalinga Reddy and  Minister Roshan Baig inaugurated the waste processing unit at Koramangala 5th Block below the HT lines on Thursday afternoon.
The Waste Prossessing unit will process about 60 tonnes of waste generated in and around Koramangala. The unit has a dry waste collection centre, coconut shell processing unit, a bio-methanisation plant, Kasa (waste) market. Many of them are Technical Demonstration Units. All waste generated in BTM Layout assembly constituency will be processed
BBMP Administrator T M Vijaya Bhaskar, BBMP Commissioner G Kumar Naik, MLAs Satish Reddy, ST Somashekar, ex-Corporators Manjunath, Murugesh Modaliyar, residents from various blocks of Koramangala, Ejipura, ST Bed, Adugodi, BTM Layout and adjoining areas, besides representatives from various RWAs, BBMP, BESCOM officials and others were present.
Earlier, Siddaramaiah laid the foundation stone for the signal-free corridor on Outer Ring Road between Central Silk Board to Nayandahalli junction on Mysore Road.
Later, the Chief Minister also laid the foundation stone of signal-free corridor between Old Madras Road and Hope Farm. This programme was held at the Phoenix Mall.
