The KSRTC was conferred with International Public Transport award for its innovative project ‘Staff Duty Rota System’.
The award was presented to KSRTC during the 61st UITP World Congress held at Milan, Italy by UITP President Sir Peter Hendy, CBE, Commissioner for Transport for London and Chairman Morris Cheung on June 8.
WORLD NO TOBACCO DAY
KSRTC has organized World No Tobacco Day at Kempegowda Bus Station, during the programme Rajender Kumar Kataria, Managing Director, KSRTC, Kalpana Kataria IRS, Additional Commissioner Income Tax, Rakshitha Film Star, Chitra Playback singer, Lucky Shankar Film Director, Manoj Kumar Sinha President, Narain Sewa Sansthan, Dr Sachin were present during the programme.
KSRTC is conducting awareness programme at Bus Stations to spread message about ill effects of tobacco and creating awareness on smoking cessation among passengers, running and administrative staffs in collaboration with M/s Narain Sewa Sansthan on 31st May 2015- “World No Tobacco Day”. Drivers, conductors, mechanics and passengers are targeted on this awareness campaign. KSRTC initiated strict action against the passengers who are smoking in the bus station and the passenger who smoke will be penalized of Rs.200/-
