ENERA celebrates Republic Day

ENERA rd 4webENERA members celebrated 66th Republic Day at Ashanilaya Ground at Ejipura New extension on Monday morning with vigour and national spirit. Abijith Roy, ENERA member working as officer at Koramangala SBI Branch, hoisted the National Flag followed with National Anthem. Association members, residents and Ashanilaya inmates gathered in large numbers.
During presidential address, Ravindra Kumar, hailed the Indian Constitution which guaranteed citizens self-governance, civil liberty, rights, duties and obligations of citizens with an object of fulfilling the aspirations of people with an object of welfare state. Government welfare schemes, will never succeed unless it reaches the needy people at grass-root level. We the RWA striving at this direction with a fond hope so that our residents gets a due share out of all such schemes. Certainly, demand for redressal of civic issues are our citizens right, at the same time joining hands with Swachh-Bharat or cleanliness drive, segregation of waste, eradication of use of plastics less than 40 micron are few regular issues ought to be followed with a view to keep the neighbourhood clean and litter free. Avoid use of plastics, and spread the awareness among the neighbours. It will definitely yield a good result, environment friendly neighbourhood and keep away diseases, he added.
Abijith Roy, chief guest, exclaimed the contribution of RWA members and recalled the contribution of our forefathers, specially, Dr Ambedkar for his noble contribution in framing the Indian Constitution. Let us strive and upheld the rights, duties and obligation stress upon us under the articles of Constitution. I wish a long cherished Republic Day, he said.
Ashanilaya  trustee, Dr J Fernandis, conveyed his wishes and warm greetings of Republic Day. Shanker Reddy, ENERA past vice-president, appealed to the residents to join hands with the Association to keep the neighbourhood clean and avoid throwing of plastics at open and public places. This is a better contribution one can make on his own part to make India environment friendly, he reminded.
Earlier ENERA President Ravindra Kumar welcomed the gathering and later PN Gopal, General Secretary delivered the vote of thanks.
The celebration concluded with breakfast.
