Prominent residents Ashok and Sumathi, parents of noted social activist Bharath Bhushan from Koramangala near Adugodi, were awarded Bengaluru Rathna Adarsha Dampathigalu 2014 by Bengaluru Rathna Prathishtana on Friday in Kempegowda Nagar of the City.
Former Prime Minister H D Deve Gowda and his wife Chennamma along with former Union Minister M V Rajashekaran and others honoured this couple. In all 15 couples who have been serving the society and leading the married life of 25 years and beyond were awarded. Also the occasion was the 5th anniversary of the foundation.
