The BWSSB has begun laying new sub-line on Raheja Residency Road from 12th main road to Kamal Bakery junction to carry sewage and link the main line so that it reaches the sewage plant without any hurdle.
The work is expected to be completed in two weeks time. Traffic has been banned entry from 80 feet road towards Raheja Residency Road. Besides the BWSSB has put banners educating motorists to avoid this road stretch. Still motorists enter from 8th Main and BDA side resulting in slow moving traffic.
This comes in the wake of clogging of the main line near Maharaja Hotel due to overload following an increase in the population of the area. Many residents of Koramangala 4th Block used to face hardship as the sewage used to backflow into their houses.
Once the project is completed the entire sewage generated from 3rd block area will directly flow straight to the main pipeline near ST Bed entrance. Besides it will not affect the Mestripalya Lake work.
