KSRTC was conferred with India Bus Awards for its innovative projects ‘Staff Duty Rota System’ under the category Excellence in Employee Welfare and Intelligent Transport System of Mysore City under the category Excellence in Bus Transport Service in India. The function was held in Mumbai on July 3.
Managing Director, KSRTC has delivered a key note address during the event and shared the success story of KSRTC and the first of its kind initiatives implemented in the organization. He has also addressed the importance of stakeholders, the challenges and road ahead for the STUs to provide sustainable mobility to the people.
Diwakar Roante, Minister for Transport, Govt.of Maharashtra gave the award to Rajender Kumar Kataria, Managing Director, KSRTC in Mumbai on July 3.
The details of the award winning projects:
l‘Staff Duty Rota System’: KSRTC is one of the largest employed organisations having staff strength of 37831. Allocation of duty and leave management is very critical & sensitive issue to be handled carefully. In this system the allocation of duty based on their seniority and through counseling. lIntelligent Transport System: Intelligent Transport System (ITS) is a demonstrative project of KSRTC supported by World Bank, Ministry of Urban Development- Govt. of India and Govt. of Karnataka. First-of-its-kind initiative in the country implemented in city buses at Mysore city, covering 500 buses, 105 bus shelters, 45 platforms, 6 bus terminals with smart technologies.
