Manga Planet Cosplay Walk’ 18 is a one-of-its kind event in India to promote Japanese Popular Culture with support of the Consulate General of Japan in Bengaluru. Cosplay derived from the words “costume play”, is an activity of dressing up as a character from a work of fiction (such as a comic book, movie, video game etc.). The Cosplay of characters from Japanese animation has gained popularity in India over the years. The vision of this initiative is to promote International Tourism in India through the power of Pop-Culture.
Sr. Mark’s Road is known to be the most beautiful street in Bangalore and through this event, one hopes that it someday becomes the biggest pop culture Street in India, similar to the Harajuku Street in Japan, which is currently the biggest Pop-culture Street in the world.
