The problems of Zoning Regulations and commercialization of residential spaces was discussed at a Panel Discussion on Saturday 7th October at the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore.
The panel discussion was organized as part of a day long series of panel discussions and presentations under the auspices of “Swarajya Cityscapes”, a local magazine, Namma Bengaluru Foundation and Indian Institute of Management were the other co-sponsors.
Panelists on the Zoning Regulations issue were Mr NS Mukunda, head of Citizens Action Forum, Vijayan Menon from ST Bed, Koramangala and Sneha Nandihal, President of BM Kaval RWA in Indiranagar. Mr Nitin Seshadri, former President of Koramangala 3rd Block residents’ Welfare Association moderated the discussion.
The session focused on the upcoming Revised Master Plan 2031, the role citizens can play in being vigilant on commercialization in their areas, and the negative impact of commercialization on domestic life.
