On May 9 Basava Jayanthi was celebrated by Koramangala Sneha Association. The celebration started with the pooja and all members sang vachanas.
Sadhanashivaya Jaragennahalli, President of Sahitya Samskrithi Vedike, Secretary for Sharanara Sahitya Parishath was the chief guest for function. He has authored few books in kannada like chillume collection, and also few poems.
Sneha conducted vachana pattana Lavani shivageethe competition. Around 25 ladies participated in it.
The chief guest judged the performance and awarded prizes as follows:
Vachana pattana:1st prize -Tara, 2nd prize -Vimala Hiremat, 3rd prize- Renuka, 4th prize Seema Muralidhar; Lavani -Nalina got prize ; Shivageethe – Parvath got prize.
All had Prasada prepared and brought by all members.
