Department of Posts in co-ordination with UIDAI is introducingAadhaar Updation Services through Post Offices for the benefit of thecitizens. The services will be available at Bengaluru GPO, RT Nagar HPO, HAL 2 nd stage HPO, Jayanagar HPO, Basavanagudi HPO, Jalahalli HPO, Rajajinagar HPO and Channapatna HPO w.e.f. 30-06-2017.
This facility will be started in all Major Sub Post Offices of Bengaluru Postal region with effect from 10-07-2017.
Any Demographic/Biometric changes like change in name and address, change in email id, mobile number, photo of the individual residents who are already having Aadhaar card can be updated through Post Offices.
The Aadhaar Updation Services was inaugurated on 30-6- 2017 at Bengaluru GPO by Dr.Charles Lobo, Chief Postmaster General, Karnataka Circle and Pronab Mohanty, Deputy Director General, UIDAI, Bengaluru.
The dignitaries present were Pronab Mohanty Dy Director General, UIDAI, Dr Charles Lobo, Chief Postmaster General, Karnataka Circle, Col Arvind Varma, Postmaster General, HQ Region Bengaluru 560001 & Rajendra Kumar, Postmaster General, S.K Region.
