Foul smell emanating from SWD irks residents of ST Bed

It appears the Storm Water Drain passing through prime locality of Koramangala, especially ST Bed has turned into dumping ground for garbage.
Tonnes of garbage is seen strewn  in to drain on its entire path, adding woes to the residents who are dogged by foul smell of sewage that are let in from many areas upstream.
Resident of ST Bed Ananthram says this issue has been brought to the knowledge of Pollution Control Board, the stake holder BBMP on several occasions, but no respite. He adds that the present situation is alarming. Prasad Jt. secretary of ST Bed Residents Welfare Association has approached Assistant Executive Engineer of BBMP SWD division to clear the garbage, and allow free flow of waste water. Dr.Prakash Reddy, Secretary of ST Bed RWA has sent in a letter to the Engineering head to act in haste, to avert posible outbreak of epidermic in view of unhealthy atmosphere.
