Ejipura Ward residents have been suffering a lot due to acute water shortage during the recent days. Cauvery water shortage coupled with dried up borewells has been irritating the local residents a lot. Having seen the problems, Ejipura New Extension Residents Association (ENERA) representatives led by its President Ravindra Kumar met Transport Minister Ramalinga Reddy two days back.
Considering the representation, the Minister Ramalinga Reddy called a meeting of BWSSB Engineers and ENERA representatives on Saturday morning. BWSSB Addl.Chief Engineer Nagarajappa, Executive Engineer Satish, ENERA President Ravindra Kumar and other members were present.For Ejipura, at present is getting Cauvery water from a distance place of Johnson Market CLR. Therefore many a times water supply is disturbed inbetween supply line.
Ejipura being a tail end is not getting proper pressure. Considering this problem, it is proposed to takeover vacant land next to Ejipura Ward office at 80 feet road and have all BWSSB facilities locally.
The BWSSB Engineers proposed to construct water tank/sump, pump house, service center, parking space for BWSSB service vehicles, jetting vehicles and watchman quarters at this place.
Minister Ramalinga Reddy assured to get and transfer the land from BBMP to BWSSB.
“Proper water supply is my priority,” he said.“We will do our best”, said both Addl.Chief Engineer Nagarajappa and Executive Engineer Satish. Ravindra Kumar thanked Minister Ramalinga Reddy and BWSSB Engineers.Once this project completes, Ejipura will have all BWSSB service facilities locally and most beneficial for all the local residents.
