Seven countries – France, Germany, Japan, Italy, the United Kingdom, Sweden and Korea – have partnered with Karnataka to promote investments in various sectors, including aviation, during the upcoming global investors meet, Invest Karnataka-2016, to be held in Bengaluru between February 3 and 5.
The meet to be held in Palace Grounds will be inaugurated by Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley.
Volvo – Sweden
The head of Volvo Sweden paid a visit to Chief Minister of Karnataka at Vidhana Soudha. Volvo has a large manufacturing plant in Karnataka and the Govt has already approved its expansion plans.
Medical Colleges
“12 Medical Colleges Sanctioned in the last 2 years. One Medical College in Every District of Karnataka is our goal”: Chief Minister of Karnataka Siddaramaiah In the last 2 years, medical colleges at Uttara Kannada, Koppal, Kalaburagi, Kodagu, Gadag, Chamarajanagara, Tumkuru, Chitradurga, Bagalkote, Chikkaballapura, Haveri and Yadgir were sanctioned and many have already opened. In 2 years time, Karnataka will have 22 Government Medical Colleges, the highest in the country.
