Congratulations to the Koramangala 4th Block Residents’ Welfare Association for organising a campaign on how to segregate garbage at source and explaining to the residents by bbmp officials on how one should segregate garbage at their home.
Residents were also given green and red coloured bins for the people to put the different kinds of waste which will be handed over to bbmp pourakarmikas everyday morning.
Many people purchased the bins for keeping the waste on that day. It was early in 1980s one Mr Rami Reddy took the initiative of collecting waste from house to house in Koramangala 4th Block under the banner of
Koramanagala 4th Block Swabhimana Initiative. At that time, there was an idea of havingone street representative for each cross/ main roads who will take care of the garbage problem and identify the black spots/ garbage thrown on the streets.
It is now suggested that 4th block RWA should take the initiative to have a street representative who will inform the association about unauthorised dumping of garbage on streets.
I congratulate the Koramangala 4th Block RWA for taking care of the civic problems with minor resources available at their disposable.

resident of Koramangala 4th Block
