Nostalgia for a cause

Children’s movement for civic awareness (CMCA) in association with Musical Peace of Mind conducted the mega event “Mortal Men Immortal Music” – A Hindi retro music concert on Sunday 6th December 2015 at the Good Shepherd Auditorium, in the City
Around 1000 devoted music lovers from Bangalore and neighbouring districts attended the concert to listen to timeless classics from Hindi cinema’s golden era. Illustrious singers Shrikant Narayan, Mukthar Shah, K. S. Naagachandrika Bhat, B G Raj and Rumana Sayed serenaded the audience to some of Kishore’s, Rafi’s, Mukesh, Lata’s and Asha’s biggest retro hits.
The concert was a classic Hindi music lover’s delight. “Mortal Men Immortal Music” was a benefit concert in aid of CMCA, a 15 year old non profit organisation that engages with children and youth across India inspiring them to be humane, just and active citizens. All proceeds from the concert went towards sustaining CMCA’s citizenship education programs that impact over 17,000 children and youth in India.
