Following the directive by the Ministry of Human Resource Development and the Department of School Education and Literacy, Chinmaya Vidyalaya Koramangala celebrated the Constitution Day to commemorate the framing of the Constitution of India on 26th November 1949.
In the morning assembly, the Principal of the School Saroja Sridharan briefed the students regarding the making and adoption of the Constitution. She also highlighted the Special significance of 26th January, when the Constitution came into force in 1950.
The Principal along with all the staff members and student read out the Preamble to the Constitution. It was followed by a brief introduction by a faculty member Gopa Basu. The School had earlier organized Quiz competition and the Prizes to the winners were given away by the Principal in the assembly. A power-point presentation by Mrs. Rukmini S a staff member on the making of the Constitution was an important part of the Day’s event.
