8 Cos to invest Rs 6740 cr

Eight companies to invest a total of about Rs.6,740 crore in the state, ahead of an investors’ meet to be held in February 2016.
The state’s industries department led by Industries Minister RV Deshpande declared this after holding a roadshow in Hyderabad as part of the upcoming investors’ meet.
“All of them are fresh investments. This is so far the best roadshow we have had for the meet,” said K. Ratna Prabha, additional chief secretary, department of industries.
Among some of the investments listed in a state industries department statement are:
lMytrah Power: 600 MW of renewable power (Rs.3,300 crore)
l Ramky Infrastructure Ltd: Pharma park in Yadgir and a park in Tumkur. (Over Rs.1,000 crore)
l Bharath Biotech: Food testing lab (Rs.100 crore) and a Gama radiation plant (Rs.250 crore).
l Nash Internationals: Biomass project (Rs.1,700 crore)
l Continental Multimodel Terminals Ltd (Rs.150 crore)
l Karthik Group of companies (Rs.40 crore)
lAndhra Infra Projects and Industries (Rs.100 crore)
l Sam Agrotech (Rs.100 crore).
Minister Deshpande assured investors that the State would do everything possible to ensure that business is done ethically, seamlessly and easily. The USP of the State is a combination of highly skilled workforce, technical and technological expertise, and entrepreneurial mindset.
