There has been an explosion of traffic through the internal roads of Koramangala 3rd Block over the last few weeks. Agitated residents had taken the matter up with the Traffic Police. City Kemp had also covered this story in an earlier issue.
With the permission of the Traffic Police Koramangala 3rd Block RWA is shortly erecting height barriers to keep out heavy vehicle traffic from internal residential roads.
The first such barrier will be on the Sarjapur Service Road near the St Francis School gate. Commercial vehicle movement from Koramangala 1st Block bound towards Sony World signal will now be forced to take 7th Main road at the Aishwaryaa bakery junction and proceed.
Simultaneously barricades to prevent speeding are being installed in all internal roads on Koramangala 3rd Block. Residents hope that with these measures in place their daily travails will be eased to a great extent.
