Mysuru-Bengaluru Highway to be Six-lane road

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said that the Mysuru-Bengaluru National Highway will be developed into a six-lane road with the additional two lanes being concretised.
He inaugurated works on Upgradation of State Highway 84, Beeraganahalli (Near Yediyur)- Amruthur-Yedawani-Kowdle-Keragodu-Mandya-in Mandya and Tumkur Districts.) and said that the process of widening the roads has started and Rs 2,200 crore has been set aside for land acquisition.
Land acquisition process for SH-84 has started and 80 per cent of the compensation has been released to those who lost their land. The remaining will be paid in December.
State Government was spending Rs 9,000 crore for the development of roads.
