Odissi dance recital by Madhulita Mohapatra & her Nrityantar Dance Ensemble will be on January 18 at 6 pm at Freedom Park Amphitheatre, Ramachandra Road, Gandhi Nagar as part of the weekly programme series, Kannada Chintane presented by Kannada Abhivrudhi Pradhikara in association with Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP).
Young Odissi dancer Madhulita Mohapatra has carved a niche as one of the leading Odissi exponents in this part of the country.
A recipient of the BCKA Yuva Kala Pratibha award, Madhulita Mohapatra has performed at several prestigious events across the country, like International Odissi Dance Festival, Konark Dance & Music Festival, Mukteswar Festival, Odissi International, rang Tarang National Choreography Festival, Bengaluru International Arts Festival, Mysore Dussera Festival, Prayaya Festival, Kala Nadam, Nitya Nritya, Kinkini Nrithyotsava, among others. She is selflessly devoted to the promotion & popularisation of Odissi dance through her institution, Nrityantar, by performing, teaching and nurturing finest talents. Nrityantar Dance Ensemble is one of the most sought after classical dance troupes in Karnataka and has performed widely across the country.
