Healthcare for the Needy

Sarvagna Health Care Institute (SHCI), a non-profit organization providing quality and affordable health care to the local community through promotional, preventive, and curative interventions, in collaboration with Symbol Technologies India Pvt Ltd (100% subsidiary of Zebra Technologies), has started a health care program to improve the quality of life for financially constrained elderly / vulnerable citizens suffering from non-communicable diseases such as diabetes, hypertension and thyroid. This partnership enables free consultation, medicine and investigation for people with Diabetes, Hypertension, and Thyroid illnesses.
Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) are on the rise in India and around the world. Early detection and continued medical attention will help to control and better manage these ailments, reducing early complications. This initiative is part of Symbol Technologies’ CSR activities in the Healthcare space.
K Prasad, Sr. Director at Symbol Technologies, said, “The primary aim of our CSR activities is to focus on programs related to Environment, Education and Healthcare. Currently we are supporting programs in all three areas and we hope this partnership will improve healthcare for at least 400 elderly people.”
Dr. Thriveni B S, Director of SHCI also mentioned that there are a few outreach programs planned to reach additional patients across Bengaluru; for early detection and follow-up, to make sure they lead an almost normal life with life style changes and regular medications.
