On October 30, Meeting with Home Minster Ramalinga Reddy, along with various department officials, Koramangala 6th Block RWA.
On the request of 6th Block RWA, Home Minister Ramalinga Reddy called for a meeting with Corporator BBMP, BWSSB, BESCOM, HEALTH Dept, Forest Dept Contractor In-charge of relaying 6th cross, 6th block. This co-ordination meeting was held at Vikas Soudha. Minister asked about the progress on the project and any pending issues.
The meeting was lead by Bindu Rao Treasurer of 6th Block RWA.
Santosh Srinivas, Contractor of Club Road mentioned that issues- 4 electric poles need to be shifted to enable the work on the road to proceed. Manoj Kumar, AEE, BESCOM promised to get the poles moved by 5th Nov 2017.
During the initial digging work, 3 large trees were uprooted due to loss of balance and loose soil. Santosh Srinvas requested for trimming of the trees to avoid trees falling, uprooting so that prior to restart of digging. Puttuswamy (RFO) from forest department promised to get this done by 10th Nov 2017. VP Shenoy, resident, requested for a coordination committee to ensure that all departments meet regularly and get all open issues discussed and sorted. Ramalinga Reddy suggested that Chandrappa, Corporator and Srinivas Reddy, EE BBMP to take this forward.
Neeraja Shetty Joint Secretary of 6th Block RWA raised the issue, in March 2017; BWSSB had done an inspection of water and sewage lines of all Commercial Establishments on 6th cross and sent the list of defaulters to MOH. Dr. Bhagyalakshmi, MOH, issued notices to defaulters. There is a need to review the status today. Laxmikant, AEE, BWSSB promised to do an inspection within a week and give the report to Dr. Bhagyalakshmi. All violators need to be identified and asked to rectify any problems to ensure that the concrete road is not damaged after completion.
Nagaraj.K, MC Member of 6th Block RWA suggested to Health Dept and BWSSB that to enforce the commercial establishment to put oil and grease trap and also raised the issue of changing the sewage lines in 6th B Cross in this regard Mr. Laxmikant, AEE, BWSSB promised that after the completion of change of Sewage lines in Subramanya Park Zone, Immediately the work will be taken up. Suresh N Gowda Secretary of 6th Block RWA raised the issue of footpath encroachment in Club Road and 5th Cross Opp to Bethany High School so Minster directed to Srinivas Reddy EE BBMP and Dr Bhagyalakshmi MOH to take a police protection and remove the footpath encroachments as soon as possible and do the needful to the residents of 6th Block Koramangala. Koramangala 6th block RWA is very thankful to Home Minster .
