Manipur Chief Minister meets Manipuri diaspora in city

An Interactive session was held with Chief Minister of Manipur N Biren Singh with Manipuri Diaspora of Bengaluru on 22nd August at Xavier’s Hall, St Joseph’s College in the city.
On that day, the Manipuri communities living in Bengaluru received the Chief Minister warmly and felicitated him on the occasion. A six minutes film was screened about the present government by the Government.
Later, the Manipuri communities submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister which contained three key points – Setting up of Manipur Bhavan in Bengaluru having basic amenities including library and community hall as it will benefit the Manipuri community visiting the city for various purposes like education, health and career; to appoint a nodal officer; and to promote culture and tourism. The Chief Minister assured to fulfill all the three demands at the earliest.
Mr. Rajat Shetty, advisor to the Chief Minister also spoke about the changes bringing in Manipur.
Mr. Th. Basanta Singh, retd IPS, moderated the interactive session.
