Samskruthi Ladies’ Association (SLA) has made it a tradition to celebrate all our festivals with the participation of our enthusiastic members. On Varamahalakshmi festival day members were asked to post a picture of themselves with their decorated Goddess. SLA received 30 entries and 3 winners were selected.
Geetha Thiagaraju bagged the first place followed by Rekha Madan and Sujatha Sagar in 2nd & 3rd places.
On 15th August President Vasumathi Srinath was invited as chief guest by San Franciscan Institute School to represent Samskruthi. She was accompanied by secretary Malini Khandige and two other committee members.
Independence Day was celebrated at Samskruthi on August 17.with patriotic song competetion and a special group quiz. Five groups of members sang patriotic songs in Kannada, Hindi and Tamil.
There were judges Mrs.Bindu Nair & Mrs Jayalakshmi to select the winners. Mrs.Tara Prabhu & group won the first prize & Mrs. Shyamala & group got the second place.Melodious songs were rendered by our judges too.
Our August born beauties celebrated their birthday with the birthday of our Independent India.
