Koramangala 8th Block KR Nanjappa Layout residents led by Prakash Raval and team will be celebrating Holi Festival – Holika Dahan on Sunday March 12 at 6.30 pm.
All are invited and welcome to be part of this festival. There will be special prasad and snacks served along with Holika Dahan celebration. “There are two kinds of pooja being performed by people from different part of country. Some people believe in performing pooja before the Holi Fire is set and some perform Pooja of the Holi Fire”, says Prakash.
“We started this back in year 2007. It was small Holi fire in front of house to fulfill our pooja wishes. First time we had just 8 people for that. Then it got increased by some more friends and neighbours year by year as interested people came to know about Holi Fire here”, says Prakash.
“Now more than 100 people join for this festival celebration. From last 5 years, we started getting help from our layout people as well”, he says and adds “We also play Holi with water and color very next day of Holi Fire.”
Holi Fire is celebrated in evening timings. This year Holika Dahan is planned on 12-March-17, Sunday, 6:30 pm.
