Guddali Pooja of development works in 4th Block on Thursday with Minister Ramalinga Reddy, Corporators M. Chandrappa and Ashok Reddy, and President of 4th Block RWA G M Shetty, along with 4th Block RWA committee members.
In 5th Block KHB Colony too, Minister Ramalinga Reddy along with Corporator M Chandrappa, Councillor Ashok Reddy, Block Congress President Govardhan, performed Guddali puja for park development works.. Thereafter, the Minister inspected the library building works going on at the park. At function, it was recalled how the park site was taken back from encroachers with all the efforts of Dr Umeshwara and his resident-friends. The Minister felt happy after seeing the park and said, the park has come up very well. Plant some more saplings, he suggested.
At 4th Block, residents complained of improper footpath near the SWD at Maharaja Signal. Also the residents suggested to shift the traffic lights pole to the side near the Beams Hospital (now Tulips) so that the traffic moves smoothly. They also asked to get the Kannada Flag post to shift to the side so as to make way for the motorists. Soon the Minister directed the Traffic officials present there to shift the traffic lights pole like they did it towards the ST Bed side.
Another major issue came up was ‘illegal’ running of a commercial lodgelike establishment in the residential locality. The Minister directed the BBMP official EE Srinivas Reddy present there to look into it.
When residents asked for tarring of roads, the Minister replied that once the BWSSB’s sewage line laying is over all roads in Koramangala willl be tarred. Besides through MLA grant tree guards have been sanctioned, so plant trees as much as possible, he said. Lastly, the Minister added that the replacement of sewage pipelines will soon be taken up.
