CYCLE DAY is back again in Koramangala! This event which had been organized in various other localities in Bengaluru over the past 2 years by DULT (Department of Urban Land Transport), Government of Karnataka, in conjunction with a local RWA, was first conducted in Koramangala on Sunday, 7th August 2016. The second edition of the event will take place in Koramangala on Sunday, 6th Nov 2016.
The event will feature a Cycle Race and a series of other fun events including street games like Lagori, Snakes & Ladders, Tug of War and Chowka Bhara. All these were massive hits on the earlier edition of the event.
Hundreds of Koramangalites and others are expected to participate.
The event flags off at 6.30 am and will go on until 10.30 am. DULT will organize and provide bicycles free of cost for hire on the day of the event. Those with bicycles of their own are welcome to bring them to the event.
If the response is good, DULT will plan to organize the event in December as well. Koramangala 3rd Block RWA will be the host RWA for both these events as well. The assembly point and zone will be 12th Main Road, 3rd Block Koramangala.
Events like Cycle day not only bring communities together but also encourage the use of non-polluting mobility solutions that are badly required in cities like Bengaluru
